Random gallery plugin?

Hello,

I’m trying to find a way to build a gallery which displays a subset of the images available in a random order.

For example:

* My gallery has 20 images
* When I build the gallery I ask it to only display 9 of them
* When somebody views the website it picks a random 9 from the 20 and displays them.

If anyone has any pointers on how I might accomplish this I’d appreciate it. I’ve been ransacking plugins for ages without much success.
