I have BackWPup installed on a number of WordPress sites doing scheduled backups to Amazon S3. However, there are random “access denied” errors occurring, which sometime happen only now and then, but in other cases seem to be permanent when they once happen. Some times the problem can be solved by just creating a new job with the exact same settings, but other times nothing seems to help.

The WordPress versions range from 3.6.to 3.8.1, and there are both single-site and multisite installations. I can not find a pattern showing what causes this error to occurs.

I consider investing in the pro version, but if the problem is with BackWPup itself, this would be wasted money anyway.

Thanks for your answer! I have started using Dropbox instead, which works without a problem. But I really would like S3 to work.
However, tried again today with version 3.1.2, with same error.
