Random 404 error

  • I have been having a pretty consistent problem with 404 errors on my blog.

    My problem is a random thing. Say I click the link to edit pages or to edit a post, instead of it going to the link or doing what is requested, it will take me to a WordPress 404 page. If I hit refresh or hit the back button to try to redo my last step, it may take me to the correct page that time.

    For some reason, my WordPress is throwing random 404 errors for pages that do exist. It gets very annoying when I press Publish to post a blog post and I get taken to a 404 page and have to hit back and redo what wasn’t autosaved (now I just copy and paste before I hit anything because I can’t be sure it will do what I ask it to do).

    Has anyone else had this happen and managed to fix it?
