• Hi,

This seems like a theme issue, but having paid to extend my theme support, the theme author, (Oxygenna), hasn’t replied to my support ticket after more than 24 hours so I’m hoping I can get some quicker help here.

The problem I’m having is that the radio buttons in the theme admin aren’t displaying or working correctly, see screenshot on link – https://wondersofwordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Radio-Buttons.png

I’ve tried reinstalling the theme, (with the latest version), deactivating all the plugins and changing PHP versions in case that’s the issue, but it’s still the same, but as the page is loading, the radio buttons can be seen as they are meant to be, but as soon as the page is fully loaded, they go to how they are in the above linked image.

Has anybody any idea what the problem can be and how I can resolve it?

    Regards,

    Holmey

Do radio buttons work normally if you switch to one of the “twenty*” themes that ship with WordPress?

The radio buttons that are not displaying or working correctly are in the theme admin, are there any radio buttons in any of the “twenty” theme admins that I can check?

In the customizer, try “home page settings”.

The radio buttons in customize with the theme activated work fine, (same with the “twenty” themes I’ve tried, it’s only the ones on the theme admin page that don’t work, something that leads me to think that it is a style sheet problem on the theme admin pages.

Sure sounds like it. You need help from the theme’s devs.

Note thatcommercial products are not supported in these forums.

When you inspect the element it’s not showing any problems that I can see either.

As I’ve said Steven, I’ve paid to extend the support with the theme author, but after more than 24 hours they still haven’t replied to my support ticket, (I paid via PayPal, if they don’t reply in the next 24 hours I’ll I’ll be raising the issue with them to get my money back), with me posting on here in case it is something obvious and I can sort it quicker.

I’ve got older versions of the theme where it worked fine, I’m considering trying to roll back to an earlier version of the theme to see if that helps.

I’ve just tried replacing the theme with a version from 3 years ago where I know the radio buttons worked, but they are not working now with that copy, this leading me to think that it’s something else with the site, not the theme.

Are there any particular PHP extensions required for radio buttons on a page to work?

no. Look for errors in the browser console.

That’s the errors that’s showing, do they mean anything to you Steven?

    Nothing important there.

I’ve managed to find out what the problem is, seems that it’s an incompatibility problem with the theme and the latest version of WordPress due to WP 5.5 / 5.6 hhaving breaking jquery changes, I’ve rolled it back to WordPress 5.4.4. and it’s fine, the radio buttons are showing again.
