r34ics_get_ics_data and cache

    Hi,

    I’m using the wonderful r34ics_get_ics_data() function on my page, works fine – but I’m not sure if the use of the cache and transient data is correct.

    I have the normal calender on a page and from each event a link to a page with event details, the details page is using r34ics_get_ics_data().
    When I add a new event and use the admin button to delete cached data the new event is visible in the calendar overview. But when I click on the event details I don’t get the infos for the new event from r34ics_get_ics_data(). The infos will appear after a while, maybe the function uses a different cache?

    I haven’t tried this setup so I’m not sure exactly what might be going on, but the function caches calendar data the same way the regular shortcode does.

    I will note that since I created this function I added another layer of caching of source feed data, but that should get cleared by the Clear Cached Calendar Data button as well.

    Are you using any other caching plugin on your site, does your web host have any built-in caching, or are you using a load balancer, e.g. Cloudflare?
