    I can assure you that we use file_put_contents in a secure manner. It looks like you may just have your security settings at a high level that flags any instance of file_put_contents. That being said, I can tell you that, in this plugin, we only use file_put_contents for saving plugin activation errors. So, if you aren’t getting any of those, you could actually remove that part from the code if you wanted, and it wouldn’t do any harm.
