Quote post format problem in "Featured Posts"

  • I was experimenting with other post formats and noticed a problem with the “Featured Posts” and “Quote” post format.
    If one publishes a post in “Quote” format this ends up in the “Featured Posts” grid without the “Featured” tag or “Sticky” mark, creating a blank space in the grid. Adding another tag such as “None” doesn’t solve this either, the “Quote” posts keeps causing a blank space in the featured post grid (the space is blank because a quote post is not supposed to have a featured image, nor a title). I don’t know if I’m overlooking something, or if this due to some kind of bug in the Fourteen theme? Is this something you could solve through the plugin?

    Hello Cath,

    To be honest with you I’ve not experimented with any post formats in this theme other than what’s already included in the Theme Unit Test Data.

    Even with that I’ve not come across the issue but I’ll take a closer look to see what may be causing it and if there’s a way around it via the plugin. Will post back as soon as I have something to share ??
