Quote marks in Notes section escaped with multiple backslashes

  • In the Notes (invisible to public) section, any code that is entered containing a quotation mark, has many, many backslashes prefixed when the widget is saved.

    My client reported this behavior started in the last day or so, so I presume it was introduced with the update to 0.8.1.

    Here’s an example of what the text looks like once he saves the widget:

    He’s using the Deadline theme, but version 1.1.4 on WordPress 3.5.1

    As I noted, this problem/behavior started in the last day or so.

  • Does anyone have a clue about this? I’m still grappling with it. The backslashes multiple with every save of a given widget. Again, it’s in the notes mode and not REALLY important, but I like to save coded notes, URL addresses there for posting later.
