    Hi there.

I, like many others, am embarrassed by the loss of my quotation marks. Some tools doesn’t read the href attribute without the quotation marks.

So why not make it optional to delete the quotation marks?

And right now, what can I do to keep the minify system without losing my quotation marks?

Is there any need to delete them BTW?

    Kind regards

    Thibaut

    Hello @tipi64

Thank you for your question and I am happy to assist you with this.
We have an open issue in our GitHub repository regarding this problem. Yes HTML minify is removing quotes and the HTML is valid and this feature makes page load even smaller, so faster and better for mobile visitors.
Please make sure to track the progress of the issue regularly and feel free to leave a comment.
    Thank you!

    Hi Marko.

I have read other posts before and I saw that this issue is old (more than 1y old). So I think it’s not the main need for W3TC to solve it right now.

That’s a little bit boring but I understand.

The option stay a good answer to let the user choose the kind of minify he wants.

BTW, you don’t reply for the SEO issue.

    Hi there.

In terms of SEO, is it nice to avoid the quotation marks? Because a classic link is href=”XXX” and not href=XXX. So it might have some issues with the SEO bots as I have issues with automatic validation of links in my content (because the quotation marks are not displayed).
