• Every day, we are now seeing the “youtube.quota, quotaExceeded” message. In looking at our API key, which is restricted to only being used on our site, this has been happening since September 27th. We were never getting even a blip towards the threshold until then, and all of a sudden, all 10,000 credits were being used up, often within hours. As far as I know your plugin should be cached only only refreshing once per day so there should be minimal API activity, right? Have you seen this before? Did something change in YouTube then? I looked at my logs and we did no work on the website at that time so it’s a mystery. We’ve updated the plugin and all plugins and WordPress on the site and it’s still an issue. Any ideas?

Just following up. I tried 2 other plugins that allows for a feed of my YouTube Channel through YouTube’s API and the problem does not occur on either. It would appear there is either a caching issue with your plugin, or there is a security issue that is allowing someone to clear the cache or force the API to be called over and over again. For now, I’m using another plugin, but I prefer the features of your plugin…

Which other plugin have you found? It seems that the support and website of the plugin builders has disappeared , not a good sign… ??

Neither quite did what I wanted, but I went with My YouTube Channel. Smashballon was the other one. Either work fine depending on how you want it laid out and their caching works.
