Thanks for your reply. Nice plugin, BTW.

However, my earlier issue isn’t resolved.

Clearing the browser cache doesn’t make it go away. It’s also showing n a browser that has never been to that page before, and clearing its cache doesn’t help either.

Clearing all caches on our WordPress site doesn’t work, nor does clearing the cache on our CDN (content delivery network).

I just booted a laptop that hasn’t been pointed to our site since before we started doing quizzes and on a tablet that hasn’t been to our site in at least a year and it’s showing up on them as well.

    Hello Christine,
sorry that clearing cache did not solve this for you (I really thought that’s what the problem was!).

Are you able to take a screenshot for me? I am not seeing your issue on my work computer using Chrome, IE8, IE9, IE10, EDGE, or Firefox, nor am I able to see it on my Android Tablet or Phone. So I strongly doubt that this is a cross browser issue – especially since it’s occurring on so many of your seperate devices.

It’s still possible that this is a cache issue, except it’s related to your local network (I assume each device you tried was on the same network?). Are you able to view the page via a third party proxy such as https://hide.me/en/proxy? If the issue does not appear via this proxy, then it would point towards your local network caching your site files.

Of course, I could simply be completely misunderstanding what your problem is, so a screenshot would be very helpful!

    Hi,

It’s still showing using the proxy server. I’ve also tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin which didn’t help. I have a screenshot for you, but for the life of me I can’t see how to include an attachment with this post.

    Hello Christine,
It’s probably best to use your media uploader on your site and post the link here.

Also, are you using a browser that is not listed above?

    I’m using Chrome and Firefox.

    Wow Christine,
this really is a unique problem!

It’s not showing on any of my devices or browsers, but is for you :S

This is almost definitely a CSS issue, likely still related to caching. I have just made a minor update to the plugin to wrap that area in a div to attempt to force it to hide.

Please deactivate HD Quiz, delete it, then re-install it from the repository and let me know if it worked!

Also, just in case, try adding the following line to your theme’s style sheet.

    #quPass, #quFail {display:none !important}

Your update to the plugin seems to have worked like a charm. The text boxes have disappeared. I checked a couple of other quizzes and they’re all okay.

Thanks for working on this and thanks for the useful plugin. ??

No problem, I’m glad I was able to help.

I’m probably going to lose some sleep over why you had this problem to begin with, but for now, I’ll simply chalk this up as a win. ??

Look on the bright side. Maybe you nipped something in the bud. ??

Just remember, if coding was easy, everyone would be doing it.
