Quiet: Side Bar and RSS Option?

    Greetings

    Latest Quiet Theme.
    WP-120380.
    Hostgator.
    Newbie builder.

    I have “researched” these two question, but do not come away with a final understanding.

    Q #1 – Is a sidebar an option on this theme? Is so, any specific code and where to place it?
    Interest – to bring Blog content to the forefront.

    Q #2 – Is function available that permits visitor to “subscribe” to the Blog? If so, any specific code and where to place it.
    Interest – to permit visitor to subscribe to Blog content.

    No, Quiet does not have a sidebar integrated into its design be default. It’s of course possible to add one with a child theme or there might be a plugin that can do this:

    For a subscription feature, I recommend this plugin:

    @smcneal I’m sure you’ve found a solution by now. I have this theme on all of my websites. I needed to add a sidebar to a page on one site today. I came here searching when I aw your post. With the new blocks in WP, you can add a block and select columns. I chose the 70/30 – content on left, banner space on right. In the right column, I added an image, then duplicated it as many times as needed, then updated each image and added my links. The only thing is it’s on a page by page basis. I hope this is helpful for anyone else trying to add a sidebar to Quiet. It’s a nice clean theme and I didn’t want to switch.

    @smcneal It’s part of a campaign that has not yet launched so I’d rather not post the URL here. If you create a sample page, you can play around with the column options to see if any would be a good fit for your needs. Have a nice weekend.
