Quicktags not displayed?

I was successful in making quicktags reappear by setting the security level to medium or below in Explorer’s Tools-Internet Options-Security.

Finally got around to uploading WordPress 1.2.1. That solved the problem nicely.

I am having problems getting quicktags to display. I get an error on the page on line 134, “error object expected.” (IE6) I think this is referring to edtoolbar. I don’t have Firefox on this computer but in firefox I believe that the error said something like ‘object not defined: edtoolbar on line 134.’ Any help? Thanks.

1. Which version are you using? Make sure you have the newest version – see DOWNLOAD at the top of this screen.

2. Have you added any plugins that will add or change the way your Quicktags are behaving? Or change the way your Admin Panels work at all?

3. Are you using the Administration Theme that came with WordPress or did you install a new Admin Theme?

I am using the latest version of WP. I am using the default theme that came with WP. The only additional plugin is the IImage Browser. Thanks.

I did a complete reupload of WP and everything seems to be working. Why I didn’t do this to begin with I don’t know. Anyway, mission accomplished.

oddly enough my comment quicktags disappeared from my site over the weekend. I was gone for a couple days and when I come back, poof.

are there any known plugins that conflict? I dont see how that could be is since I didn’t install anything new.

joeytrimmer – I have that sometimes and I too have no idea why it happens. They do come back though. Blame the gremlins ??

that’s just weird isn’t it podz!? Oh well I’m using LMB^Box Comment Quicktags now with no problems.
