Quicktags?

  • Please excuse me if this is an extremely dumb question. I’m a total newbie to wordpress, and I’ve tried to search for the answer but haven’t found it.

    I’m trying to get some google Adsense on my page, and I downloaded an adsense plugin, and it mentions that I should see an “Adsense button” on my Quicktags..

    the problem is, I dont know what Quicktags are and I have looked on every page of my blog and cannot find ANYTHING that says the words “Quicktags” or anything that looks like an “Adsense Button”..

    any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

  • Quicktags are the buttons right above where you type a new post. There are buttons to make text bold (b), italicized (i), create links, and so on. If you go to Write >> Write Post, you should see those buttons.

    oh well, evidently that plugin is garbage, at least with this version of wordpress.. because i see no “adsense” button like the plugin author described..

    What version of WordPress are you using? What’s the plugin? What version of the plugin are you using?

    im using the latest version of wordpress, 2.04? and the plugin i tried is old, it was written by Phil Hord..

    basically all i want to do is figure out how to get a small 250×250 block of adsense on the left-side of the first post on my page, with my posts text wrapped around the adsense..
