Quick Shortcode Question

    Dear HFCM Team,

    This may be a stupid question, but do I have to embed the code shortcode manually on the pages, or does it do it automatically for all the pages specified if the snippets are turned “on”? Is the shortcode only for pages I didn’t specify?

    Hello @vincentturner – Thank you for contacting support. The shortcode will have to be entered manually. You can track the Status of the snippet (active or inactive) and edit its code from the HFCM plugin. It will only be used on the pages/posts/templates/CPTs you apply the shortcode to.

    So just to be certain, if I make the snippet apply to “All Pages”, I still have to manually insert the shortcode to each page of my website?

    Hello @vincentturner – To use the shortcode – Please select the Shortcode Only option in the Site Display dropdown.

    There will not be an option to apply to all pages as the shortcode will need you to manually enter the code where required.

    Vincent – To further clarify, you do NOT need to install the snippet on every page of your website if you use the All Pages option.

    However, if you had a use case where you wanted to manually insert the snippet to a specific page/post/whatever, then you could use the shortcode option in which case it’s up to you to manually place that shortcode.
