    Hi.
I have taken backup with backuply and downloaded the zip file locally on my computer. If the server crashes is it possible to restore my website on a new server using only the zip file from Backuply? Or must I have a backup of my wordPress site in advance on the new server?

With other words: Can I install a new version of WordPress and install Backuply and just upload the zip file and restore the site like that? Or must I upload the files from the zip file and import sql files from the zip file?

    Hello,

You will just need to create a new WordPress install on that new server, install Backuply, and then upload the .tar.gz backup file using Backuply’s backup upload which is present on Backup history tab. Once uploaded if the backup is not visible sync it with Local folder and then you can restore and wait for it to complete.

    Regards,
    Backuply Team
