Quick question on child theme

I already made a child theme. That I understand and have done.

My question is when I make CSS styling changes to my styles.css file….

Am I supposed to copy *ALL* of the contents from the original styles.css file and include that in mine? I would make changes to this instead.

OR am I supposed to just add whatever I change into my .css file and leave the other file alone?
