I am about to put jetpack on a live site (been testing it on my localhost); when I activate the plugin it asks me to make a wordpress.com account.

I need to make a wordpress.com account for every single module? On my local install I was not asked to connect to a wordpress.com account for every module but on the live install I can’t enable any module except the debugger without a wordpress.com account.

Just want to make sure this is how it is intended to be (need a wordpress.com account for everything).

    Thanks.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Once your Jetpack is connected to WordPress.com, all the modules will be activated. You won’t need to make another connection for each new module.

On your local environment, you were using Jetpack’s development mode, and could use all modules that didn’t require a WordPress.com connection.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.
