Quick Fix? Help with page color and margin

    thanks in advance for help, i’m rather new to WordPress.

    I would like to change the page color of only the “front page” from white to black. The normal “posts page” can remain white/default. NOTE: the front page has a NextGEN slideshow gallery embeded. The other issue with the front page is the margins. They are too tall. How may I shrink these?
