Quick Edit not working, Post just disappears

    When I try to quick edit a post, it just disappears from my screen, it reappears when I click on posts (Published) but only in list or excerpt form, and I still cannot quick edit it.
    The full edit works excepting for being able to change from published to draft or pending.
    I was using 20/10 and it was OK, then changed to weaver, simple silver, and it was still working, but as I was getting dozens of virus allerts I switched back to 20/10. And that’s when the trouble began.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thank you Thank you Thank you! Why didn’t I think of that?.
    The problem was with a plugin, WP-Transformer, which wasn’t doing what it was supposed to anyhow, so I shot it.
