    Hi there,

I really like the Quick Cache-Plugin. It’s very easy.

I have Quick Cache installed on my website and am using the WPtouch-plugin. Now I recently recognized that Quick Cache doesn’t distinguisch between “Desktop” and “Mobile”-Users.
Which leads to the following problem:

If a “mobile” user gets https://www.xyz.com/mypage the layout is rendered for “mobile” view and put in the cache.
If a “desktop” user is now reading the same page, he gets the cached file and also sees the mobile-version.

Does anyone have the same issue?
And moreover: is there a solution for that?
    Currently I deactivated WPtouch.

Thanks again for this otherwise really cool plugin

  • Hi!

You could add the following user agents:
    w3c_validator
    iPhone
    iPod
    Android
    BB
    BlackBerry
    IEMobile/10.0
    IEMobile/7.0
    IEMobile/9.0
    webOS

Or – even better – work with MD5, but I’m not really sure how to use that.

    Hi astrostart,

Thank you, I do what you mention and clear site’s cache, and now I will continue monitor the case.

To configure your caching plugin not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected, enter the user agents found under Advanced Options > Custom User-Agents to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings. Remember to clear your plugin, browser, and device caches before retesting.

A visitor also mentioned he got the mobile version of my website in Chrome browser in his desktop PC.

I’m using the free version of Quick Cache, so there are no options to configure the cache plugin to skip caching for specific user-agents. Is there another method to avoid this issue?

Seems that most answers here are for another cache plugins, Despite this, I also try to configure that plugins not to cache mobile pages but I don’t get that result.

I would be interested to buy Quick cache pro just to solve this problem, but before that, I want to ask anyone who test this option on Quick cache pro with WP Touch, did that solve this problem ?
