    Hi,
I am wondering about video hosting and quic.cloud.

What if I am on a LiteSpeed-powered shared web hosting, and I upload videos directly to my web hosting storage. And then I turn on the LiteSpeed Cache plugin with the Quic.cloud CDN enabled for my WordPress website which has videos.

In this case will you serve even the video content from your global CDN network to my visitors? Or do you only serve the images, javascript and CSS from the global CDN network?

If you don’t support videos yet, then don’t you plan to add an option to quic.cloud where I could host videos and serve those videos using the global CDN network?

    Hi,

Large media file may not be cached now, we focus on application cache, will work on large media file caching later.

For now, the best way is to serve large media file through a subdomain via a CDN which is built for serving large media file.

If video file is small enough, or cut into smaller pieces, QC CDN will cache and serve those just fine.

    I see.
I think you could add video hosting later. I understand it is expensive, you could charge for it.
And it would be very useful if you would provide adaptive streaming, so LiteSpeed Cache plugin could add a new block to the WordPress block editor which block would insert an advanced video player. And when the user uploads a video to that advanced video player block, that video would be served by quic.cloud CDN and the video player would support adaptive streaming. So for example if the video file is 1080p, but the visitor has slow connection, the server would automatically detect it and serve the video in a lower resolution (and lower resolution for mobile users, too). But the visitor would still be able to manually select the video resolution (so like on YouTube).

The problem with the default WordPress video block is that the video player block doesn’t support adaptive streaming, so if I upload a 1080p video to the block, it will be always served as 1080p even for those visitors who don’t have a fast enough internet connection, and even for mobile users who don’t even have that large screen.
