    Hi, I installed the free edition in order to test it and added the test data. I had to reinstall the plugin by copy the files directly to the server but I found out that some information is missing like the photos of the cars. Can you please tell me which folders are affected by reinstalling the plugin in order to backup them before the update?

    Also I would like to ask how to create promotions as this is not clear.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your message. Whenever you need to migrate data from one VikRentCar installation to another, we strongly recommend using the built-in Backups feature that you can find in the Configuration page. This tool will generate a zip file containing a full backup of all data available in our plugin. The backup is just data from our plugin, it is not a WordPress backup, and then you can upload it onto a new website and restore it from the same Backup tool in the Configuration page.

    The photos of your vehicles will be uploaded onto /wp-content/uploads/vikrentcar, but moving them manually may lead to problems (loss of photos) with future updates, due to the fact that some database records may not be updated. This is why using the backups is strongly recommended, and right now if you’ve manually moved the plugin, the best solution is probably to manually re-upload the missing photos.

    Lastly, promotions can be created through the page “Pricing – Special Prices”. Please notice that this is a function available in the Commercial/Pro version of the plugin only.
