• Hi,

I have two questions regarding your plugin:

    1. Where is the translated pages stored? On your server or on our own server?
    2. Can I use DeepL translation instead of Google? It seems the free plugin will use Google to translate.

    Thanks

    Thanks for writing to us!

    1. The translations are stored on our servers and this allows you to edit them with help of Text and Visual editors which we provide with every subscription!
    2. No, you can’t! We do not support DeepL as we believe our proprietary mix of translation engines is already pretty good! If we do upgrade it sometime in the future, it would only be GPT-4 which is all the rage right now))

    Cheers!

    Hi, @conveythis

I am using GTranslate now. I am thinking of your service only because GTranslate does not support DeepL. Now it seems you do not support as well.

Actually I have compared the translated contents generated by your engine and the Google translated contents and found they are the same. While DeepL produces a better contents for the same original Englsih text.

GPT-4 does it better. Here are some proofs:

We won’t support DeepL in the nearest future. Instead, we will switch to GPT-4.

    Hi, @conveythis

    When will you support GPT-4?

We are currently experimenting with it.

However, GPT-4 is 10 times more expensive than any other translation API, are you prepared to pay more for this service? Or we can shrink the number of available words as an option.

    Let us know!
