Modula does not have an option for background because the gallery will inherit the body/post’s background color.

Yes, you can add the same image in several galleries.

As for displaying the image full-screen, do you mean in the lightbox? Because the only lightboxes that have a the option to show the image full-width are Fancybox: https://wp-modula.com/demo/lightbox-gallery/fancybox/
Or PrettyPhoto: https://wp-modula.com/demo/lightbox-gallery/prettyphoto/
