Questions before to signup for premium+sending

    Hi there!

    I know MailPoet (Hi Kim!!) since years but had not the need, or the previous versions had not all what I needed.

    Now the version 3 seems great but I read multisite support is discontinued. Is that just the support “but it should work”, or it doesn’t work at all? and what about the premium licence, to activate on the main site or all subsites?

    Does it mean that if I have a site with multisite for different languages, needing to send different emails (each in its language and different local content) then MailPoet would not be a recommended choice?

    Or could have people all sign up under the main site, but then I would need segmentation per language, is that possible?

  • Hi Patricia!

    For multisite we don’t officially support it. Why? Because in MailPoet we have the “WordPress users list”. This list is made up of all users with an account on your site.

    Because of this on a multisite install, if you have MailPoet activated, each subsite in MailPoet will show the others sites users in that list. This can be fine if it’s an internal site and not important, but of course, for some sites (marketplaces, etc) it isn’t suitable.

    For licensing queries, those questions should be directed to sales(at)mailpoet.com. But each subsite would need its own license.

    What you could do is have list selection at signup and allow the user to pick the correct list for their language. ??
