• Greetings,

I am interested in getting your AGE VERIFICATION MODALS extension. However had a couple questions before I get it…

1… I tried your demo using my LG smart phone with a 4 inch screen and the modal pop-up displayed but the bottom portion with the buttons was not visible and could not scroll down to get to them. Is there a way to fix this for smaller screen phones?

2… Will this plugin allow google through for indexing my site? I have seen other plugins that actually blocked google from getting through.

    Thanks for your time.

    1. Yes, you can either use Advanced Targeting Conditions and create 2 popups. One targeted at non mobile, the other at mobile. Or you can tweak the button css slightly to make it fit better.

I have not personally tested our demo on mobile but making it more responsive shouldn’t be too difficult.

    2. Yes, that is actually a great point. This plugin does actually load the page, but shows the overlay and age verification on top of it. Therefore google bot would still see the content. And since the popup is opened using JS google bot will get the standard page without the popup.

    Hope this helps,

PS Please take a moment to rate and review the plugin and or support.

    Thanks for the answers Daniel.

I do have an additional problem though… I was going to take advantage of the deal for the 25% discount I received for signing up for the newsletter but that does not seem to work… I tried to purchase the extension for 3 sites and receive the following message when entering the discount code given:

“The product requirements for this discount are not met.”

Let me know when this is fixed and I will purchase!

    Thanks,

    Dave

@dave – Looking into this ASAP.

@dave – I had all but given up on that discount code. It literally had 0 sales. My initial tests I guess weren’t efficient enough.

It should now work on anything except memberships, which we are getting ready to remove ( tried them but they don’t match our future plans of having 3rd party extension developers sell through our store ). Which means we are bringing back unlimited domain/developer licenses as well.

If you would prefer to go that route now let me know and I will make some quick adjustments.

@dave – Since nobody apparently was able to use it, would it be bad form to send out an appology via newsletter list, letting people know that it should now work and I guess announce that unlimited licenses are available as well.

That sounds like a great idea.

IMHO I think this product would do much better with a couple possibilities for a business model…

1)… Let it always be licensed for with unlimited domains but make the extensions be valid for one year with update pricing at the end of each year. This creates a steady stream of yearly income.
    -OR-
2)… Two versions of each extension. Regular price for a single domain and another price for unlimited domains.

I personally like the idea of #1. Just my 2 cents worth. ??

Actually, as additional idea I would like to throw out at ya…

One of the business models I really like is what they do at Formidable Pro… They price their plugin at two prices. Price #1 and then at around the price of purchasing two you get unlimited domains. In your plugins case, I would recommend the same model except make the unlimited price right at 3 times the normal price. And perhaps also make a bundle of all extensions with the same model.

That is what I would recommend. Looking forward to see what you finally come up with.

    Good Luck!

@dave – For Easy Modal we had 3 options per plugin. We can’t do a single fee for all the goodies, as we plan to allow 3rd party developers to sell through our store for commissions. Splitting such a fee amongst many developers is not something we can or want to take on.

That said we tried something different with Popup maker for the first 2 months. But have quickly determined memberships have the same pitfalls with paying 3rd party devs.

Our decision is to go back to the way it was with easy modal. Per extension you can purchase 1 of 3 license types. All 3 last for one year and include support. Options are 1 site, 2-5 sites & unlimited. Prices are usually x1, x2, x3 or x3.25. We also round to whole dollar amounts.

I will likely have these changes in place later this weekend.

Very cool Daniel… I will be looking forward to checking out the pricing this weekend and will possibly purchase.

    Cheers!

I would be interested in looking at purchasing either the 2-5 sites at x2 price. Even Possibly the unlimited licence. (For the AGE VERIFICATION MODALS)…

Will be waiting for your announcement email when this is in place and then I will purchase. ??

    Best Wishes to you!

@dave – I have my marketing guru currently revalueing prices based on all the changes. As soon as she sends me the updated price lists I will be switching it around. Hopefully later today.

PS If you purchase now, you may actually save money if she thinks they are undervalued.

Our original price sheet was much higher, but we wanted to bring the entry level down to get things rolling. We price based on value added by an extension not by lines of code. That said I told her I wanted it priced to increase sales, and she knows how to do that. So they could come back lower. No telling for now. I simply told her I wanted to drastically increase bottom line and left the hows & whys to her.

Any news on changes to your pricing model?

You had mentioned in a previous post that you thought these changes might be done a couple days ago… Just checked your site and looks like the same pricing. (No 2-5 sites & unlimited)

@dave – sorry been a long week to say the least. What products were you interested in specifically? I can tell you really quick whether prices will be affected. And if your wanting to purchase tonight I will make adjustments so you can get what your after now.

email me directly danieliser at wizardinternetsolutions.com for a private conversation on the matter though.

Was interested in the Age Verification Modals. Looking at a 3-5 site license. (You only have a 3 site license but you mentioned above you would be changing it to 3-5)… Also, possibly interested in an unlimited license but I have no interest in paying for any kind of monthly membership.
