This thing puzzles me so if an image saved from the browser is in jpg, but the webp version was loaded, isn’t then the browser loading both? How the plugin works in that case?

    Hi @snippet24,

    Thank you for your message.

The browser will load one image. Please read the plugin FAQ. There you will find information on how the plugin works.

I had read it before posting actually and still not clear about it, can you elaborate a bit more on this. If I right click with browser contextual menu on an image and save it, if the browser supports webp should the downloaded file be webp or then onle there it loads the regular image?

You can do the test yourself. After converting the image, edit the original one and make e.g. red lines on it. Then you will have a clear difference between the original and WebP. Do you understand what I mean?

The browser loads the images in WebP format. However, by clicking on the image and selecting the option to save it to disk, the original image will be saved.
