Question re: MailChimp List Subscribe Form – Email & Forwarding to URL AddTo Me

  • Hello,

    I set-up the “MailChimp List Subscribe Form” Plugin and it seems to
    work well, but it is NOT sending me an Email after the Form is Submitted

    I was hoping that when someone fills-in the form, and submits it, that
    it would…

    (A) Update My MailChimp List (IT DOES THIS)

    (B) Send me an Email including the Form Fields, to let me know that
    someone Submitted the Form (IT IS NOT DOING THIS)

    (C) Send the person, after Submission, to a URL Address of My
    choice (IT DOES NOT DO THIS)

    Is having the System Send Me an Email a Part of this system? If
    so, how can I get it to work?

    Is Sending people (redirect) to a URL ADDRESS after submission
    of the form a part of this system? And if yes, how do I set
    this up?

    Thanks for hopping in the forum. Those are great questions. The WordPress plugin would only handle the form submission to MailChimp, all actions after that in the subscribe process are handled by MailChimp. Sending to a custom url and subscribe notifications can be setup in your MailChimp list settings.

    The page that appears after someone signs up is called the Signup ‘Thank You’ page. This page can be redirected to a custom page. This guide from the MailChimp knowledge base has details on setting up that custom url: Design and Host Your Own “Thank You” Pages: https://eepurl.com/gOGB
