    Hi,

I’ve Redis Cache running on WordPress at Cloudways. I’ve just got LiteSpeed Cache working… and it seems to have a little problem with each other.

I got this message at Object Cache:
    Memcached Extension: Enabled
    Redis Extension: Enabled
    Connection Test: Failed

I think every time I made some changes, I got an alert “enable drop-in” or something like that. I’ve to disable and enable Redis again to get it running.

Please advise if anything I need to do. Thank you very much.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

I’ve selected “Redis” in “Object Cache Settings”, and I just found that the port was set to 11211, which is for Memcached.

I’ve set it back to Redis’ port number, and it shows:
    Memcached Extension: Enabled
    Redis Extension: Enabled
    Connection Test: Passed

However, the drop-in problem seems to remain there: https://imgur.com/a/RWopkzD

Thank you very much for your help.

if you use Redis, you need to change the port to 6379

I am not sure where that warning comes from , did you used any other object cache plugin before ?

try clean up all the files name contains object-cache in /wp-content/ removed , it should help

I guess the alerts are coming from Redis. I didn’t make changes since, so not sure if they are gone after fixing the port number.

I only see an “object-cache.php” there under the “wp-content” folder. I dare not touch it… or should I?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

turn off object cache , delete that file , re-enable the object cache

OK, I’ll see. I didn’t make any changes in settings so far, and it doesn’t happen… I’ll try if that occurs.

I’ve to say, the loading is quite smooth and quick after using LiteSpeed Cache. But, the scores in PageSpeed and GTMetrix look poor.

    Thank you.

    Ok, let me try…

After fixing the port number, it seems like Redis Object Cache works after changing settings in LiteSpeed Cache now (just enabled “Quest Mode”).

So, I guess you may close the thread here… Thanks.

Thank you very much. You’ve been very helpful… Have a nice day.
