I have a question on the filtering by categories/facets. Is it possible to specify conditions for multiple facets to be selected. For example, if we have two facets (e.g. location and skill) could we make it optional that somebody selects one option from location AND one option from skill. At the moment they can select either an option from location or an option from skill (but not both).

Thank you for all your help

Done in WPSOLR 7.5 (multi-select facets).

A range filter is also possible with the multi-select facets? e.g. price or size from – to. (min / max)

    Hi,

We are building range faceting in next release, WPSOLR 7.7

wow cool! ?? I’ve found something in solarium (range.php)

    Hello,
Was the range faceting included in the WPSOLR 7.7 release? I don’t see it in the Change Log. Could you please comment on it? I am using the plugin for a woocommerce site and need to setup a price filter. Hence, looking for this feature.

On a side but related note, will it be possible to add price in the list of ‘sort’ options (high to low and low to high)? The current list of sort options are not so useful for an eCommerce site. So, I’m wondering how do I go about adding sort options such as Sort by Price, Average Rating, Popularity etc.

    Thanks.

No, after investigation, it was not possible to extend the plugin with all the new features, and at the same time keep it compatible and simple.

The new features will come in another plugin, with it’s own line of code.

Okay, do you have an ETA for this new plugin? Can you suggest some alternative or workaround solution?

    No.

There are alternatives that can manage one or several features (facets, many documents, multi-language, ajax …), but none can do them all, as far as I know.
