Question on Script

  • Hello! I have already anonymized IP in GA do I still have to place my GA Script in the script section of cookie consent plugin

    And if I do that what effect will it have on reporting of GA

  • As far as I know, if the ip is anonimized and your turned off the “share with third parties and google” in the account, you do not need to ask permission and therefore, you do not need to add the script.

    We only need permission for scripts that gather personal data and IP address is considered as personal data.
