    Just had my first failed order, customer tried paying with woocommerce checkout via credit card, order failed because zipcode could not be validated.

    How do failed orders work?
    Do customers get charged for failed orders?
    How do I proceed to finish the transaction and get the customer their product?

    Do customers get charged for failed orders?

    No, failed order means the payment didn’t go through – customers are not charged. This page explains more about order statuses.

    When you have a failed order, you can have your customer pay via customer payment page, or if the customer has an account, they can make a payment via their account page.
