Question for order notification emails

    Hello,

    I am sending an order confirmation email once an order is placed and the status is ‘processing’.

    Sometimes I need to place an order on status ‘on hold’ and once we clear out the details, we transition the order back to ‘processing’. However, this triggers the order confirmation email to be sent again.

    Is there a chance to send this order email only the first time an order is transitioned to status processing and if later on the status changes to processing again to avoid sending the email twice?

    I understand that you would want a change of your order status from ‘on-hold’ to ‘processing’ to not send a confirmation email.

    You can achieve this by custom coding or through a plugin. However, since custom coding is beyond our scope here. I would suggest the WooCommerce Order Status Manager plugin that can help you create custom status. Check and see if it is something you can consider and create a presales ticket with us if you have any questions about it.
