Question before install

    My company sells both monthly service packages as well as individual one time product add ons. I want a custom email sent when one of these add ons is purchased.

    I am sure your plugin will work when a customer buys ONLY the add on – but what happens if they purchase both the add on and a monthly service package?

    Will the original order email (from WC) be sent AND the custom order email? Or just one?

    Hi @21social,

    Thanks for your interest in my plugin!

    The way it works may be different than what you’re thinking:

    This plugin simply adds content inside the existing emails which are automatically generated by WooCommerce.

    So you can create several different blocks of text and save them individually as “Custom Email Messages”.
    Then, when editing each WooCommerce product, you can select which Custom Email Message to show when that product is purchased, and where it will be displayed inside the email.

    For your site, you would be able to create and assign a Custom Message to show for the Add-on product and a different Custom Message for the Monthly Service.

    Please keep in mind that both messages will show if a user has purchased both products.

    I am using WooCommerce Email Customizer Plugin to create our outgoing order emails. (https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-email-customizer/)

    Do you know if your plugin will be compatible with the above plugin?

    Unfortunately these two plugins perform two completely different functions, so they are not compatible with each other.

    So the only way I can use your plugin is if I use the default emails that are generated by WC?

    @21social, To be clear: I have not tested both plugins together. It is possible they may work together, but I cannot verify that at this time.

    Ok thanks Alex – I will give it a shot and see what happens ??

    Worst case scenario, we will just move back to the old WC emails and format them how we want so we can still use your app.
