Question about WordPress and Google Adwords

Hi folks,

Say you have a blog with 100 posts on a variety of topics, lets say it covers shoes, cars, nutrition, and gym workouts.

If you wanted to promote your WordPress site using Google Adwords, if someone searched google for “gym workouts” you’d want google to advertise your “gym workout” related blog posts specifically. Same for all the other categories.

Does anyone know if this is how google adwords works (I searched online but couldn’t find a specific answer).

To clarify, I don’t want to advertise just my domain for the searches which relate to my content, but i want to show the relevant posts from my blog for those searches.
