Question About WordPress 4 on XP-SP3

    I am Struggling here, so I need your help.

    Last year I lost my entire hard drive so I went back to xp home premium and installed xp3 any way to cut a long story short I am under the assumption that php 5.3.XX is the only version capable of running under xp3 sp3 and on your site you mention WP 4.0 needs the php 5.4. xx series.

    So I am using wp 3.6 and I am getting a message “your site needs updating to wp 4.0” in admin page.

    Hence my confusion?

    You are running WordPress on your XP-SP3? If you are then WordPress 4.0 does work on PHP 5.2.4 or better.

    You should be alright upgrading to WordPress 4.0 but please check out the mysql requirements.

    yeah xp3 its street for xp sp3 lol

    Just spent a couple of hours playin and not a sniff in any of my error logs except when I installed a particular plugin.

    So thank you!
