Hi! When reading the documentation on the pre-load feature, I found this:

When the Preload feature calls the urls, the cache of urls are created automatically. When all the pages are cached, the preload stops working. When the cache is clear, it starts working again.

I noticed the pre-load cache feature appears to be updating the cached files when none of the files have changed. So, this is a scenario:

    1) I empty the cache
    2) The pre-load feature runs and re-builds the cache
    3) I look at the site several hours later in the day and notice the “WP Fastest Cache” comment that shows the time used to build the cache shows a cached time a handful of minutes or hours prior to the time I viewed that page of the site.

Since none of the site pages are changing more than once a week, I would expect the cached pages to be built ONCE, after the cache was purged (or maybe a page was changed).

I can understand the pre-load function running every 5 minutes, but why are the cached pages continuing to be generated if they haven’t changed?

    Thanks in advance!

    Peace…
