    Hi,
I like this plugin, but I’m unsure to keep it because of SEO. As far as I can see the contents of all custom tabs are not indexed by Google.
What is the idea about? Can I do something to make the contents indexed by Google?

    Thanks for an answer!

  • Hi @kraemit,

That sounds like an issue with the way your theme is presenting the tabs. Our plugin just extends the tabs that are already built-in to WooCommerce and your theme.

My (admittedly limited) understanding here is that Google will not crawl elements that are hidden when the page loads. A strategy I have used in the past when needing to hide certain elements but still have them crawled is to hide them with javascript after the page finishes loading. This is something you would have to do in your theme.

Let me know if that helps,
    Jon

    Hi @jpowersdev,

thanks for your answer. I researched a while using Google and about a found out, that they changed the way of indexing tabs on pages (somewhere in 2017?) and indexing is done.

I think my previously posting was wrong, because if I search for some unique text in some of my custom tabs I get hits about it in Google – that’s a stupid test I should have thought before, but sometime brain is soooooo lazzy. ??

    Thanks again for your support!

    Best Regards!
    Marcus
