• Hi,

I can see in the changelog that you support refunds in WC 2.2…

Feature: Refunds! With WC 2.2, refunds were introduced and rclai on GitHub added them to this plugin

    Does this mean…

    1) You can process a refund in your WordPress dashboard, and it will be actioned in your Stripe account (i.e. the funds will be returned to the customer) – ?

    2) You can process a refund in your Stripe dashboard at https://dashboard.stripe.com/, and it will be actioned on your WordPress site (i.e. the order will be marked as refunded, and all inventory etc. updated). – ? (Using webhooks – https://stripe.com/docs/webhooks).

    Or …

    3) Both of the above. – ?

If it’s only one of the above, then the above would be a great addition. I’m not sure the official Woo extension has 2) yet (their documentation is also ambiguous).

The WooCommerce built-in support for refunds works. So if you were to go to an order and refund part of or the entire order, it will process through Stripe and refund the credit card. It doesn’t work the other way around. With this plugin Stripe is not currently sending any information back to WooCommerce.

    Hi Stephen,

Thank you for letting me know so quickly. I am guessing that this is the situation also with the official Woo extension. I think currently nobody supports receiving events from Stripe via webhooks, in the same way that WooCommerce receives and processes events from PayPal.
