    Hello!

Please, tell me. How does the Autoptimize work when updating pages/posts?

Will Autoptimize auto clear cache? Or do I need to manually reset the cache?

If I update the page/post, will new visitors see an updated version of the article? Or do I need to clear the cache?

Well, most important thing is that Autoptimize does not do page caching, so new/ updated articles are visible immediately. AO does cache the optimized CSS/JS, but that is not impacted by new/ updated articles. If the CSS or JS changes, AO will automatically created new cached files for that, so all in all you don’t have to worry about that. The only thing to keep in mind is that AO does not auto clear it’s cache (with optimized CSS/ JS), but it warn you when the cache size gets too big (see AO FAQ for more info on cache size and how to manage that).

    hope this clarifies,
    frank

Thank you very much sir for answer. Let me please one last question.

I I update the WordPress plugin or edit file theme. Autoptimize auto re-create new cache for updated files, right?

And please can you recommend the Autoptimize settings guide. Can you give a link to the recommended article with good settings?

Sorry for my bad english, sir. Im from Russia, thank you for amazing plugin! I will write review with 5 star for you!

    correct!

most guides/ articles are (and can only be) rather … high-level, so nothing to recommend I’m afraid. try the different options and measure performance (time to start render/ first paint & onload time) before and after each change (also test if your site still works, as some things _could_ break when optimizing).

    hope this helps,
    frank

    correct!

If I edit theme files (like single.php) with FTP or hosting file manager. Autoptimize also will update editing files?

.php theme files are not ‘treated’ by AO, but if e.g. you add some inline CSS or JS in there, then yes AO will pick that up.
