Question about permalink change and Yoast slug

    Hi,

    I’m planning to do a permalink change on my WordPress site I would like to ask you a question about something that I’ve been researching lately and couldn’t find the answer yet. That’s why I need your support ??

    1. My website has about 6 months old, and it uses the date + postname in the permalink but I want to change it to site.com/category/postname or maybe site.com/postnme. I’m still trying to decide which one is better for SEO.

    I have about 300 articles and all my slugs are manually modified in the Yoast panel for SEO purposes. Meanwhile the titles are different and much larger.

    After changing the permalinks, will Yoast keep the same old and short slug structure or will adopt the full title of the articles in the postname?

    Once you change the permalink structure of your site, Yoast SEO will be automatically able to detect them.
