I went ahead and downloaded Directorist and am going through the set up. So far it seems to look like it will play nice with UM and not override the registration or log in, since I can turn that off.

    Question

I noticed that there is the option for multiple directories. I set that, but I don’t see any real option for different categories.

For example, the business directory needs industry, city, state, (location). I see the location and ‘category’ option.

But if I set up a second directory, say for an internal classified or marketplace type of directory, that would need products, services, price range, location, and maybe a few others.

How or where would I create the separate categories for each directory?

I also noticed the email templates only seem to be referencing one type of directory so each directory does not have its own email templates, is this correct?

I can set a drop down select field with multiple options, but is there a way to do bulk uploads instead of one option at a time?

Also, and more importantly, I decided to use the category field for the product categories. I have a LOT of them, 113. I used BulkPress to upload all of them to directorist categories section and that worked fine.

The issue is that on the page with the all categories shortcote, where all the categories show up in the little boxes with count, all of the categories are not actually showing up. It cuts off the last dozen or so and there is no pagination to get to the rest of the categories. Basically only 100 of the 113 show on the page. I need all 113 to show up and possibly to 115.

Is there an option to increase the category quantity somewhere or to make all of the ones show up?

    Hey @delanataylor,

If you have multiple directories turned on, then while adding Location and/or Category, you should see a checkbox where you can select which directory(s) it belongs to.
Email Templates are Global, yes, they can’t be configured per directory.
There’s an option to add Directory using a JSON which includes all the data for the builder, so I guess you can make use of it. Try exporting a directory, you’ll see how the JSON is structured.
Our technical support can help you bump up the limit of categories to show: https://directorist.com/contact.

    Regards,
    Mahdi.

Thanks. I just removed the extras and kept it at 100.
