Question about Leave A Reply validation

    Hi,

    The plugin is wonderful, but I have a question regarding the reply box when leaving a comment.

    I don’t know if your plugin is involved, but one of my visitors told me that they get some kind of error message that the “Website” text box must be filled in (on the Leave a reply screen). Then the screen goes back to the post screen and does put the comment in. What I don’t understand is that the “Website” text box on the “Leave a reply” screen is not required to be filled in using WordPress, so could this be related to the plugin?

    If not, there is another plugin I can check that’s related to comments that I use called, “Comment Guestbook”.

    I do not get this error when I’m logged out, so I don’t understand why one person may get this error and another does not.

    Is there anything I can check in regards to trouble shooting this?

  • Hey Laura,

    The “Website” text box has to do with the default WordPress comment form – not the comment images plugin – so there’s no much I can offer in the way if that error; however, Comment Images will provide an error message if a user specifies an illegal file even before the ‘Submit’ button is clicked.

    It sounds as if this may have been a one-off error especially if you can’t reproduce it.
