    Hello,

This is an amazing plugin and I love it.

I have 2 questions about file uploads.

    1) The uploaded file is stored within the folder system wp-content/uploads/2021/06/filename which means I need to delete them to save space on server. Is there anyway to stop Forminator storing them there? For example its own folder would be better then at least I could just delete the folder.

    2) Regarding the rules – How do I only allow uploads to those that have entered some text in the company name field.

    Thank you so much,
    Tracey

  • Hi @scruffy1,

    Thank you for contacting us.

For the upload files, you can proceed to disable the files to be visible from Media library by editing the option in the file uploads field settings. This will still upload the file into the uploads’ folder but not media library as the feature to change the folder is not available at this time.

If you want to change the destination folder, so you can organize it better(Delete the folder), we have some custom snippets that might help you achieve this.

    For example :
    https://gist.github.com/wpmudev-sls/46d776223d9d54c732fd409b2e78c8a9
    that uploads to wp-content/forminator
    or
    https://gist.github.com/wpmudev-sls/639f2b6d711016e74ffa86d3a8e3c0d3
    that uploads to wp-content/forminator/FORM_ID/YEAR/MONTH/DAY/ENTRY_ID/.`

In regard to uploads being displayed after the user has entered some text in the name field, you can set a visibility condition in the uploads field settings to show the uploads field say so that it shows it if the name field is not empty.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Best,
