Hi. I created a child theme version of the parent theme, Twenty
Twenty-Four, and I wanted to know if I should copy the theme.json styles from the parent theme to the child theme. I’m concerned that I could lose some of the site styling when WordPress issues updates to Twenty Twenty-Four.

No, create your own theme.json file with only the styles you want to override or add. Your child will inherit all other styling from the parent.

You’re right, copying the file’s contents from the parent would cause concerns about updates. Fortunately it’s not necessary ??
