Question about changing URL

I installed WordPress on my server with Softaculous and it was placed in a folder called WP. My home page is at mysite.com/WP.

The site will soon be finished and I want to change the home page to mysite.com. I’m a little confused (what else is new) about the process of changing site URLs.

Should I move everything from the WP folder so it’s in the main mysite.com folder (and edit all links to images to remove “wp”) or is it enough to change the site URL at dashboard/settings/general?
