Question about cache
-
Hello, I’m new user superpwa wp plugin. I’ve just using it for few hours and already loving it. But I’ve got some question.
From what understand pwa utilizing cache to make site appear as app and load faster. I go to your site but found so little explanation about cache. Mainly how many is the limit. My site is news with a lot of image. I guess per page is around 500 KB up to 2 MB except some category.
PWA is new for me, actually I just read iOS version limit cache to 50 MB. Not sure with Android, not really looking into that. Trying to search but most of it return to iOS limit. Is there any difference? Maybe Android PWA could grow 100 MB from cache?
Then lets move to the next question. If the user delete the app added to home screen, will it also clearing cache? I tried delete it and add again. But everything load so fast make me not sure if the cache already cleared. Maybe because I also using cloudflare.
Now there is something else. Setting page told me app orientation, I assume this force the app orientation. I choose portrait. But apparently this is not working on iOS, tested on 12. This only work on Android, tested on Chrome 69. Explanation please.
I requesting a feature swipe to back and forward, similar to Safari iOS. Not sure if this bug from Safari or the plugin. I cannot swipe back to previous page. And since the back button is not there in pwa version, I cannot return to previous page without return to home page. On Android this is not problem because back button always there because physical.
Thank you.
