– Try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Nineteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

The NO TITLE problem sounds like your theme has a bug. You should ask in your theme’s support forum.

As for searching for plugins, they are already filtered for being recent and correct versions for your site. Your idea of how long between updates is acceptable is different than the WP idea. (There are plugins that are 10 years old and have not needed any update. There are parts of WP that have not needed any update also.)

Please don’t post in the Alpha/Beta forum unless you’re actually testing the alpha/beta version of WordPress (not a plugin or a theme). Also, once WordPress has released a version, it’s not appropriate to post in alpha/beta and you should post in the Fixing WordPress forum:

@ipstenu No Problem! as I didn’t know but had an actual thread been found in the search when typing the words WORDPRESS BUG OR WORD ISSUES instead of 50 unrelated topics this wouldn’t had been there to begin with as I spent at lease 30mins looking for something relevant and that post was the closet I came across.

What Your saying does make sense but we then should be allowed to filter/refine our own searches then to save us time as continuously coming across 4 month out,, 6m, 12m, 2yrs, 5,yrs the other day 9yrs,, It just gets worse not better.

I am not the one making these messages, they happen because developers don’t update them thus WP NEEDS to find a more acceptable way of having these updated by there creators or not have them show up at all on properly Updated WP sites.

It’s bad enough we have to deal with plugins that are updated and don’t work but yet they expect you to spend money on PRO versions when the free one doesn’t work, Don’t you think?

But then again I read the code before I install anything.

The CSS bug is annoying, you’re right, but please consider that you’re being rather unkind to volunteers here. We agree, it sucks, but don’t be mean about it, eh?

This is a narrow point of view. The repository is a place to put code. There is no requirement to keep it updated. It is free and without obligation and the license says “Without Warranty”. Updates do not equate to “good code” or “working code” or even “works for my combination of versions and plugins”. Update just means there is a different version than there used to be.
And while it makes sense to use the latest version of WordPress, so many people do not that the repository is sort of forced to support all of the old versions.

Your concept of what you are searching for cannot be conveyed by search terms. I could type the same search terms but be looking for something totally different. You might want a recent version of a plugin for your site, but I might want an old one to adopt. You might not be comfortable with a 6 month gap between updates, and I know my own schedules and think 6 months is pretty recent. WP has a history of being backward compatible, so plugins can work for quite awhile without modification.

Also, there is no NEED to do anything. It’s all free software, with no warranty.

I wasn’t trying to be mean and just because I saw it in a different light or way to you doesn’t that I was being mean.

@joyously At least yo where polite about your response and have taken your response on board and based on that will apologise if anyone was offended as my English isn’t that perfect and may sound like I am to forward at times, but nothing is said with the intention of being rude.

After all the years of using wp not doing anything wrong on this form your telling me I am flagged because what I wrote sounded worse than it was intended to.

Don’t you think it makes more sense to delete that post and ask me to rewrite it as that would be the mature thing to do in public forum. Like I said it wasn’t my intention to offend and I will be more careful in the future.
