I set up another database called Test1. Defined a table in it. Defined my key. Imported my data. Now I want to search it from a page.

then google how to properly query a MySQL database using PHP. this isnt a wordpress question — wordpress queries the wordpress database. if you want to query another database — you need to write the necessary code to do so. there is a very simple tutorial that explains how to make PHP and mysql talk on devshed.com, and, as to be expected, php.net has lots of working examples.
